The work of Henri Matisse, especially his paper cutouts spark my imagination and inspire me to explore creativity for myself. I love the vivid use of color and the graphic qualities.
Van Gogh may very well be my favorite artist. Irises is among the many works that I admire. My current journal has Irises on the cover. My previous journal had Cafe' Terrace on the Place du Forum, Arles at Night. Van Gogh's paintings are alive with color and texture, I love their intensity.
